Areas to be addressed from survey:

Better pay-
While we would love to pay our wonderful caregivers as much as possible, the ratio of bill rate to caregiver pay with Amada is actually pretty close. We do research quite often to see what other homecare companies pay/charge and try to be above local industry average.

Visit the patients that require a lot more care than realized. Some patients are $10 an hour and some are $15 or more an hour. The work that is involved in assisting the patient. Plus the amount of cleaning that the patient surroundings is way more than realized.
We do the initial assessment/scheduled assessments with clients to understand care needs, however the caregiver in place sees the day to day care needs of the client on a much deeper level.  Please know, only 20% of your day should be cleaning and if the needs are greater- please let us know and we can address your concerns.  We need to be your advocates as well as updating the client’s plan of care.

More clients in Murfreesboro Tennessee-
Yes!  We would love that too! Be assured, we are not turning local clients away.

I would enjoy clocking in and out through a website rather than over the phone.
We are launching a new system that uses a website and your location.  SUPER easy to add ADLs and see the plan of care for your client.  We realize that there will be questions and are deploying it slowly.

More money and more clients for night shifts I love working for Amada they care about clients and employees
We would love more overnight clients as well! Please let us know if you are looking for hours and if your availability changes.  Also, please understand that if you are offered a client or shift, you may not be the only one we offered it to.  First come first served.  J

More pay less for our shifts focus on 8 and 12 hour shifts have the office staff take training in nursing
This is a tricky one…  Ideally, clients would want 24 hours a day- but most can not afford that.  We love longer shifts as well, but we need to meet the client’s care needs.  While a 4 hour shift may seem short- we are one of a few home care companies that have a 4 hour minimum- with you in mind.  Some insurance policies only pay for 4, some pay for more.

As far as the office having nursing training- please keep in mind that we are NON-medical.  We are to be helping with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, etc..) and nursing is beyond what we are legally allowed to do. That being said- Kevin is a Certified Dementia Practitioner-  highly trained in the ins and outs of Alzheimer’s and Dementia.  He is available at ANY time with your questions or concerns.

More job fairs to add staff for weekends
Hiring enough caregivers for our client’s needs and not too many- that’s definitely not a science.  We know you all have your own needs for hours and it is a balancing act in having the correct amount on staff to care for our current clients as well as available caregivers for new clients/call outs.

Offer some type of mileage benefits, other than just between clients
We try very hard to keep you as close to home as possible.  Please know that if we do ask you to go further, it’s an emergency call out and if a client is too far we hope you feel confident to communicate that to us.

Communication with other caregivers so we all know how to best serve clients.
Our goal is to inform caregivers with the most information as possible.  If anything arises with a change in the client’s condition that is different than the plan of care, please notify the office immediately. Please also know that if you ever would want to directly speak with previous caregiver- we would be more than willing to accommodate!
